Hi everyone, so I bet you’ve seen me before on the earlier pages. My name is Jonathan Christopher, a finance student who has an interest in streetwear fashion. In my spare time, I like to mix and match the clothes I have. My taste in streetwear fashion started at around 2020. However, back then my interest was mostly focused on buying hype clothing pieces rather than learning how to style them into a complete outfit.

Fast forward to stepping into university, I learned more about how to style my clothes rather than just wearing expensive or hype pieces of clothing. I started experimenting with different clothing combinations alongside one of my closest friends. That was when I started to enjoy wearing pieces from local brands. When I first arrived in Melbourne, my eyes were opened even further as I found inspiration from fashionable people walking around the city every day.

I started caring more about how complete outfits looked instead of focusing on the clothing brands itself. Here, I started to explore the realm of thrifting and often looking at local clothing brands.

I became more comfortable combining local clothing and simple pieces. I developed my final interest and finally found my style, which is a simple yet streetwear kind of style. If you take a step back and look at the examples page and the collections page you will get what I mean.

BACKGROUND OF SITE
Personally, I know as I grow older, my style and fashion preference would eventually change. However, I really want to showcase and have an archive of all my favorite outfits so when I’m old, I can look back at all of my all time favorite outfits through this website. On top of just being a personal outfit archive, I want to showcase my outfits to people who might have the same type of style as mine or for people who simply just want to look at some outfit inspirations. On a side note, I know that the contents on this website may be biased towards my personal liking, so not all people may cater to my type of style. I structured my site to look a bit retro and a bit abstract with a lot of components so that users won’t feel bored when navigating through the pages. The skeleton part on my collections page in particular is my way of illustrating the art of mix and matching clothing pieces. In the future, as I explore new types of “styles”, I will continue to add more collections to my page along with more examples of new and original outfits. I want people or users to feel an intimate and close connection with me by seeing how my fashion style might progress in the future.
